Monica is the Vice President of Government Affairs for Scotiabank, leading a team responsible for government relations and public policy advocacy. Before joining the bank over 13 years ago, she was a senior consultant at a government relations firm, excelling in client service with private and not-for-profit organizations. Monica provided support and advice on government communications and strategies for engagement. Monica’s professional career started in the public sector, including both in the office of the Prime Minister of Canada and the office of the Premier of Ontario. She consistently achieves results in high-pressure and complex situations, using proven problem-solving and issues management skills. 

Monica also sits on the Board of Directors of Fred Victor, a social service charitable organization that fosters long-lasting and positive change in the lives of homeless and low-income people living across Toronto.
