Marcella Munro joined Teck Resources as Head of Government & Regulatory Affairs in February 2022.

Prior to joining Teck, Marcella worked in government relations and strategic communications consulting for 15 years, providing counsel to C-Suite leaders across Canada.

Her career started in journalism. Marcella was a national producer for CBC national television news where she worked in both daily news and investigative reporting. She also spent two years working for the Alberta government.

Marcella’s approach to government relations is rooted in her strengths as a strategist and professional communicator. She has expertise in every aspect of policy development and political engagement and has led the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement plans with all levels of government, non-governmental organizations, and Indigenous communities.

Currently, she is a member of the volunteer advisory boards for Clean Prosperity and the BC Centre for Substance Use.

Marcella holds an Honours B.A. in Political Science from Carleton University in Ottawa.
